SIGNS YOU NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR COMMERCIAL AIR CONDITIONING

Common Signs You Need An Aircon Replacement

These are some of the most common signs that something is up with your commercial air conditioning. If you do suspect a problem, the safest thing to do is to call a professional for an AC repair as soon as possible.

Noise

Banging noises, rattling or any other kind of unusual sounds coming from your air conditioning machine, this could be a sign that something is wrong. It could be a simple repair, but it’s wise to get it checked out in case your machine does need a replacement.

Strange Smells

If your commercial air conditioning is creating a strange odour or a musty scent, this could be a big indicator that something is wrong. If you do notice a strange smell, don’t continue to use your air conditioning, as there could be mould or other irritants that you are spreading.

Working Slowly

You will probably be able to tell when your air con is starting up slower than usual, or not cooling down the room the way it once did. If you do find that your air conditioning is working slowly or not at all, you should have it checked out as soon as possible.

Uneven Temperature

If you spot that one side of your building is cooler than the other, or the air feels unregulated, this could be a tell-tale sign that you need to update your AC. Poor airflow can lead to a build up of moisture and then the growth of mould and mildew.

Humidity

If you’re experiencing high levels of humidity in your building, this is a potentially serious problem which can trigger asthma and allergies in some people. Humid conditions are also perfect for mould to thrive in, also putting your employees at risk of health problems.

Old Age

Depending on how well you care for your air-con, it should last you about 10 years or so. But, if you notice your unit isn’t working the way it once was, it may be a sign of old age. Modern ac units tend to be much more energy efficient and come in a wider variety of styles to suit your building.
