FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Get peace of mind with knowledge from our expert technicians addressing common questions and providing valuable insights.

  • How often do I need to service my system/s?

Domestic Installations - We would advise a Planned Preventative Maintenance visit every 12 months. If the system is used on a more frequent basis then this should be increased to every 6 months.

Commercial Installations - We would advise that your system/s are serviced every 6 months to ensure peace of mind and to maximise your return on your investment.

Another key reason to have your systems maintained is to ensure you maintain your Manufacturers' Parts Warranty which can be invalidated should a lack of maintenance occur. It is also beneficial as the earlier any problems are identified with your system/s means that any damage potentially caused can be minimised and in most cases eradicated totally.

  • Is there any current legislation I need to know about?

Yes, one of the key components that any Commercial installation needs to know about:

    1) F Gas Log Books : These are a record of the location and tracking of refrigerants on your site (which you as the end user are responsible for).

An F Gas Log Book is a record to prove that your system/s have been inspected regularly for signs of refrigerant leakage and tested correctly by a competent F Gas Qualified Refrigeration Engineer under Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

  • What happens to any refrigerant removed from my Ac system/s?

After removal of refrigerant from a system for safe disposal, we will issue you (the end user) a Hazardous Waste Consignment Note (HWCN).

This document transfers the legal onus to ourselves to responsibly dispose of the redundant refrigerant in accordance with and under Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

The HWCN is your proof that you have had the Hazardous Waste disposed of by a competent person/company who will ensure it is disposed of correctly and without any impact on the environment.

  • Are your engineers directly employed or are they sub-contractors?

All of our engineers are directly employed by us. We do not use sub contractors.

  • Are you an established company?

The company began back in May 2002 and has since grown in size to ten members of staff.

We pride ourselves in being a small company as we do not want to be a company that gets too large and in turn, looses that personal touch.

We have many engineers who work for us (past and present) who regularly say that one of the great things they find about Complete Cooling is that it is more like a family environment than a workplace due to this, they are appreciated for what they do and they are not just a number.
